Return & Refund Policy

At LIGHT BY DESIGN, INC, our mission is to provide high-quality lighting products along with dependable and professional customer service. We want every customer to feel confident and satisfied with their purchase. If for any reason your order does not meet expectations, our return and refund process is designed to be clear, fair, and hassle-free.

Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Item(s) must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • Item(s) must be returned in the original packaging, including all components, manuals, and accessories
  • Proof of purchase is required

Returns requested after the 30-day period will not be accepted.

If an incorrect item was ordered by the customer, return shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility.

Return Method

All returns are accepted by mail only.
We do not accept in-person or in-store returns at this time.

Return Label

For eligible returns that meet our return criteria, a return shipping label may be provided upon request.

If the return is due to a customer ordering error, change of mind, or incorrect product selection, return shipping costs may be deducted from the refund amount.

To return an item:

  1. Securely repack the item in its original packaging
  2. Attach the return shipping label to the package
  3. Drop off the package at the designated shipping carrier location

If you require a return label or return instructions, please contact our support team before sending the item back.

Restocking Fee

There is no restocking fee for approved returns that meet the return eligibility requirements.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please follow the steps below:

  • Take clear photos of the damaged or defective item(s) and packaging
  • Contact our customer service team within 7 days of delivery
  • Email the photos along with your order details to [email protected]

Claims submitted after 7 days of delivery or without photo documentation may not be eligible for a refund, replacement, or store credit.

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to be processed.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
